- Founded in 2013, Qalam Collegiate Academy then established as a for-profit institution was a pioneering project aimed at revolutionizing education for girls in our community.
- 2015 marked a milestone with QCA achieving its dual accredtitaiton from COGNIA and CISNA.
- In 2017, QCA transitioned to a not-for-profit organization. While the name remained the same, the mission and vision underwent a profound overhaul.
- Fast forward to 2023: QCA merges with EPIC,bringing QCA officially under the banner of East Plano Islamic Center. This monumental step in QCA’s journey facilitated the acquisition of a state of the art campus currently catering to 150 girls. This merger also made possible the launch of various extracurricular offerings such as soccer, volleyball, debate, nasheed, a tech club. Last but not least this union also paved the way for the launch of the first and only all-boys islamic school in the DFW area.
- In August 2023, EPIC Preparatory Schools, launched it’s second-wing QCA for Boys K-4; similar to QCA Girls, the overall mission continues to be to provide a holistic educational experience through a single-gender learning model, rooted in the principals of our faith values.
- Alhamdulillah the expansion to K-12 in 2024 makes QCA officially a K-12 learning institution, adding an elementary wing for girls K-4. This growth marks a significant milestone in QCA’s history, expanding its impact and reach within the community Alhamdulillah.
